The energy consumption of air conditioning systems in public buildings accounts for 40% to 60% of the total energy consumption of building operation, and the research and promotion of high-efficiency chiller plant room technology is an effective measure for the construction industry to realize the “dual-carbon” strategy. At present, no matter domestic or foreign technical standards and engineering cases focus more on the overall energy efficiency ratio(EER)of high-efficiency chiller plant rooms, and less on the influencing factors of high-efficiency chiller plant room design and improvement technical strategies. Based on theories and engineering cases, this paper clarifies the influencing factors and their interrelationships of EER in high-efficiency chiller plant rooms, puts forward technical strategies including optimization and adaptation of chiller selection, gradient utilization of energy, optimization of transmission and distribution systems, and fine monitoring and control, and presents in detail the application examples of the China Overseas Building project, aiming to provide references for the same kind of projects, assisting industrialized application of high-efficiency chiller plant room technology in office buildings.
